On Monday the Ministry of Finance published a list of over 850 products that it will cut tariffs on. The goods include food such as pork, wine, whisky and baby food;  consumer items and parts for manufacturing smart phones. The cuts come as part of Beijing’s drive to lower trade boundaries and create domestic demand meaning we are able to send samples and airfreight more freely.

In the Bloomberg article, published 23.12.19, it states that: “The list allows lower tariffs on goods coming from World Trade Organization members. For countries with which China has free-trade agreements, duties can be lower still. They include New Zealand, Peru, Costa Rica, Switzerland, Iceland, Singapore, Australia, South Korea, Georgia, Chile and Pakistan…”
